• Ensure a correct and compliant supervision of the following tasks:
- Analyze products to determine their eligibility for preferential treatment under Free Trade Agreements.
- Review and validate bills of materials, product structures, and sourcing details to confirm compliance with rules of origin.
- Prepare and issue certificates of origin for qualifying products.
- Manage the timely renewal or re-certification of documents to meet regulatory deadlines.
- Evaluate the financial benefits of leveraging FTAs for cost savings through reduced duties.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of certificates, supplier declarations, and other FTA-related documents.
• Conduct audits of FTA claims to ensure proper documentation and compliance with trade laws.
• Identify risks related to non-compliance, or inadequate documentation and propose corrective actions.
• Attending and actively contributing to team meetings, sharing relevant updates and insights to support team objectives. Participate in client meetings as needed, representing our team professionally and ensuring client expectations are clearly understood and addressed.
• General knowledge of Customs and International Trade, HS Classification, Free Trade Agreements, Origin and Solicitation processes.
• Minimum 3-6 years of experience in Import and Export processes, Origin, Free Trade Agreements and Solicitation processes.
• Proven knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency in Excel is a must, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with origin/trade software.
• Effective Communication: Strong English verbal and written skills to convey ideas clearly and collaborate with diverse audiences.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and foster a cooperative environment.
• Independence: Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously while managing responsibilities effectively.
• Adept at working in an international environment and navigating cultural diversity. Travel could be required.
