Revision of the EU’s Foreign Investment Screening Mechanism
The EU reached a political agreement with the European Parliament and the Council on a strengthened EU Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) screening system, creating a more aligned and robust system to spot and address security or public-order risks—while keeping Europe open to investment and strengthening its overall economic resilience.

Switzerland signs Convention establishing International Claims Commission for Ukraine
Switzerland has signed the Convention establishing an International Claims Commission for Ukraine. The Commission will review, assess and decide on claims resulting from damage caused by Russia in Ukraine. It will also determine the amount of compensation due in each case.
OFSI General Licence INT/2022/1839676, Russian Travel amended
On 12 December 2025, the General Licence INT/2022/1839676 was amended to add JSC Siberia Airlines to the definition of a designated person. The licence was also extended and now expires on 22 May 2028.
