The Commission (EU) considered it necessary to rectify the original Regulations in order to include CN codes ex 2710 19 11 , ex 2710 19 15 , ex 2710 19 21 , ex 2710 19 25 and ex 2710 19 29 and the corresponding TARIC codes. The regulations enter into force on 16 September 2025 and are directly applicable in all Member States.
EU Commission acts against unfairly traded glyoxylic acid from China
EU Commission imposed anti-dumping measures on imports of glyoxylic acid from China. The duties, which range from 29.2% to 124.9%, were imposed after an investigation demonstrated that imports of glyoxylic acid from China had been dumped on the EU market and were causing damage to EU industry. Glyoxylic acid is a chemical that is primarily used in the pharmaceutical, food, fertiliser and cosmetics industries. It is an intermediate in the industrial synthesis of antibiotics, vanillin, chelated fertilisers, and allantoin, and is also used in personal care products.
EU Commission acts against unfairly traded imports of flat hot-rolled steel products
EU Commission imposed anti-dumping measures on imports into the EU of certain hot-rolled flat products of iron, non-alloy or other-alloy steel originating in Egypt, Japan and Vietnam. The duties, which will be enforced for five years, were imposed after an investigation demonstrated that the legal requirements for imposing definitive anti-dumping measures were met for all three countries. The anti-dumping duties imposed range from 11.7% for Egypt, 6.9%-30% for Japan, and 12.1% for Vietnam. Duties provisionally imposed since 7 April 2024 will not be collected retroactively. Imports from India were also investigated, but that investigation was terminated without the imposition of duties, because it was not established that Indian imports were dumped.
EU: Initiation of anti-dumping proceedings regarding the import of spun bond PET non-woven fabrics from China
EU notice of Initiation of an Anti-Dumping Proceeding concerning imports of spunbond PET nonwovens originating in the People's Republic of China has been published. The investigation was initiated in response to a complaint by EU producers alleging dumping and injury to the European non-woven industry. The purpose of the proceeding is to investigate whether imports of these nonwovens are dumped and whether anti-dumping measures are necessary to protect the European Union market. The product concerned by this investigation is certain sheets of needle-punched polyester non-woven fabric, whether or not glass fibre reinforced, of a surface weight exceeding 70 g/m2, of a thickness exceeding 0,5 mm but not exceeding 1,8 mm, impregnated with one or more binders, containing less than 30 % by weight of glass, uncoated or coated. The investigation will be closed within one year, but not more than 14 months from the date of publication of the notice.

Due to clerical error TARIC codes for SAF ex 2710 19 11 (TARIC code 2710 19 11 10), ex 2710 19 15 (TARIC code 2710 19 15 10), ex 2710 19 21 (TARIC code 2710 19 21 10), ex 2710 19 25 (TARIC code 2710 19 25 10), ex 2710 19 29 (TARIC code 2710 19 29 10) have not mentioned in articles 2 and 3 the mentioned Regulations ((L/2025/1869) and (L/2025/1861)). Measures 552 and 554 have been integrated for these five TARIC codes for CA and US.
EU definitive anti-dumping duty on threaded pipe fittings from China and Thailand
EU Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1890 imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of threaded tube or pipe fittings, cast of malleable cast iron and ductile iron, originating in the People's Republic of China and Thailand following an expiry review, was published. The product under review is threaded pipe or pipe fittings, cast from malleable cast iron and ductile iron, currently falling under CN code ex 7307 19 10 (TARIC codes 7307 19 10 10 and 7307 19 10 20). The rates of the definitive anti-dumping duty applicable to the net Union frontier price, duty unpaid, vary for different producers and range from 14,9 % to 57,8 %. The CN and TARIC codes are given for information only without prejudice to a subsequent change in the tariff classification.
