CATTS is thrilled to announce the inclusion of a new key member to its global ensemble. Alex Martinowski will officially be joining the CATTS crew on 1st September 2023, as its representative in Brazil and South America. Alex will be entrusted with the task of establishing and growing CATTS's local presence in Brazil, a step that follows our organization's vision and faith in international expansion.

Why Brazil?

The country’s significance in the domain of global trade compliance and customs is undeniable. Here’s a brief exploration:

  • Economic Juggernaut: Standing as the powerhouse of South America, Brazil beckons with its vast resources, expansive industrial network, and a surging consumer base. It’s a magnet for international businesses, drawing them into the heart of the continent.
  • Regulatory Labyrinth: Navigating the constantly evolving customs and trade compliance rules in Brazil is no small feat. It demands expertise and a nuanced understanding - precisely where CATTS comes into play, offering unparalleled guidance.
  • Strategically Poised: Brazil’s geographical nexus serves as a pivotal conduit linking major global markets. It plays a central role in both North-South and East-West trade channels.
  • Trade Diplomacy: As a core member of the MERCOSUR bloc, Brazil's role in international trade dialogues is critical. This reinforces the importance of adept trade compliance services in the region.
  • Trade Dynamics: With an upward trajectory in import-export activities, there’s an escalating demand for proficient customs advice and services to streamline transactions.

Mercosur

Also known as the Southern Common Market, Mercosur is a regional trade bloc in South America, comprising Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela (though Venezuela's membership has been suspended since 2016). Established in 1991 with the Treaty of Asunción, MERCOSUR's primary objective is to promote free trade and the fluid movement of goods, people, and currency among its member nations. This integration not only boosts economic collaboration but also seeks to establish a common ground on policies ranging from external trade to social development and environmental concerns.
