Customs Tariff updates June 2023

EU customs tariff update

European Commission has updated the import tariff. Update includes the changes in the import duty rates for certain products classified under tariff chapters 06, 07 and 08. Update also includes the changes in the preferential duty rates for certain products classified under tariff chapters 01, 02, 03, 07, 08, 15, 20, 50, 51, 52 etc., 

India customs tariff update

India customs authority has updated the import tariff. Update includes the reduction in the basic customs duty on Refined Soya Bean Oil and Refined Sunflower oil to 12.5% and amendment in the preferential duty rate for Australian originated goods classified under tariff chapter 27011290 and 27011910.

Israel customs tariff update

Israel customs authority has updated the import tariff. Update includes the changes in the purchase tax for certain products classified under the tariff chapters. 

United Kingdom seasonal preferential import duty updates 

UK customs authority has updated the seasonal preferential import duties for products classified under tariff code:

• 0707000500:    0% preferential duty for imports from Morocco from 1 June to 31 October
• 0710808000:    0% preferential duty for imports from Mexico from 1 June to 31 October

United Kingdom preferential import duty updates

UK customs authority has updated the certain preferential duty rates within chapters 3, 7 and 8 for years 2023 and 2024 and affecting imports from Chile, Israel, Lebanon, Mexico, Morocco, Norway, Singapore, Tunisia and Turkey are now in the tariff.

United Kingdom HTS code and Unit of Measurement update 

UK customs authority has updated the import tariff. Update includes the addition/deletion of HTS codes for certain products classified under tariff chapters 16, 29, 38, 84, 85 and 90. Update also includes the addition of supplementary units for certain products classified under tariff chapters 04, 16, 39, 44, 56, 69, 70, 73, 76, 83, 84, 85, 87 and 90.

United States customs tariff update

US customs authority has modified the tariff chapter 99.  The modifications set forth in this change record reflect updates made to the HTS after the 2023 Revision 7, published June 6, 2023. Please note that the Change Record does not include staged rates, endnotes or minor non substantive adjustments to the format of any line. The modifications set forth in this change record reflect updates made to the HTS since the 2023 HTS Revision 7.
