Argentina customs tariff update

Argentina customs authority has updated the import tariff. Update includes the addition/deletion of certain products classified under tariff chapters 21 and 90.

Canada customs tariff update

Canada has amended the Customs Tariff legislation and related regulations. In order for the importing community to accurately prepare for upcoming changes to Canada's unilateral tariff preference programs for developing countries, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is advising of amendments to the Customs Tariff legislation and related regulations, effective January 1, 2025. To complete the renewal of Canada's tariff treatment programs, the Commonwealth Caribbean Countries Tariff (CCCT) – code 07, the Least Developed Country Tariff (LDCT) – code 08, and the General Preferential Tariff (GPT) – code 09, have been reviewed and modernized. The CCCT is expanded to cover all goods within Chapters 50 to 63, which may benefit from duty-free treatment, provided that the rules of origin and shipment requirements are met.

Description change of tariff item 9984.00.00: The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) wishes to advise of an amendment to the Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff (Tariff).

The 2023-7 Tariff reflects a change to the description of tariff item 9984.00.00, which took effect October 11, 2023. The description is amended by replacing the reference to “True Sport Foundation” with a reference to “Canadian Olympic Committee”. 

China customs tariff update

China customs authority has updated the import tariff. Update includes the addition/deletion of certain hts across the different tariff chapters. 

Cost Rica customs tariff update

Costa Rica customs authority has updated the import tariff. Update includes the changes in the of IDA (Rural Development Institute) and IFAM (Institute for Municipal Promotion and Advisory Services) tax rates and changes in HTS codes for certain products classified under tariff chapters 03 and 04.

EU customs tariff update

The European Commission has published the latest version of the Combined Nomenclature (CN) applicable as from 1 January 2024. The Combined Nomenclature forms the basis for the declaration of goods (a) at importation or exportation or (b) when subject to intra-Union trade statistics. Update includes the changes in the tariff chapters 8, 20, 39, 50, 56, 70, 94. 

The European Commission has published the 2023-2024 HTS correlation table, which includes the changes of tariff chapters 07, 08, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 25, 27, 28, 29, 38, 39, 40, 44, 50 etc.  


Japan customs tariff update

Japan customs authority has updated the import tariff. Update includes the changes in the excise tax rates for certain products classified under tariff chapters 22 and 24.

Ukraine customs tariff update

Ukraine customs authority has updated the import tariff. Update includes the changes in the excise tax rates for certain products classified under tariff chapter 22.

United Kingdom customs tariff update

UK customs authority has updated the import tariff. Update includes the changes in the description of goods classified under the tariff HTS 0511 and updated the 8 Digit Commodity Code Correlation Table for tariff chapter 08 and 20. 

UK customs authority has updated the import duty rates for certain products classified under tariff chapter 07 and 08.
