Meet the Crew: Alex Martinowski

CATTS' Regional Manager – Brazil & South America
February 18, 2026

South America plays a key role in global trade flows, and building a strong regional presence requires both experience and determination. As Regional Manager for Brazil and South America, Alex Martinowski leads this effort with discipline, long-term vision, and hands-on expertise in foreign trade.

From a young age, Alex discovered his passion for logistics and international trade. Influenced by his father, a truck driver, he learned early on the value of hard work, resilience, and commitment to family. Growing up in a household with five siblings, he began working at the age of 14. That early start shaped his strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and determination to grow professionally.

For over two years, Alex has been part of CATTS, focusing on expanding our operations in South America. He is based in Santos, where he lives with his wife and his faithful companion Amendoim, a cat who has made a few guest appearances in online meetings.

Professional Growth: A Journey of Continuous Evolution

For Alex, growth means dedication, discipline, and constant learning. He has built his career in foreign trade across operations, sales, and consulting, developing strong hands-on expertise throughout the years. His focus is always on embracing new challenges, adopting new technologies, and learning from shared experiences. These values guide not only his own path but also the development of the teams he works with.

“Luck is not chance, it's the meeting of opportunity and preparation. That's why I never stopped striving, studying, and working to be ready when it knocked on my door. At the youthful age of 52, I can affirm: every challenge was worthwhile. They shaped the professional I am today. And we always keep moving forward, learning without stopping.”

A Few Personal Facts

  • His first job was at YMCA Brazil, delivering documents between the institution’s clubs.
  • He is passionate about cars, motorcycles, and cycling.
  • He occasionally plays FIFA on PlayStation.
  • He is involved in the Men’s Ministry at the Presbyterian Church.
  • In his free time, he cycles with friends through the streets of Santos.
  • He enjoys suspense, horror, and comedy films and is always ready with a recommendation.
  • He is currently training to work in Hospital Chaplaincy, aiming to provide emotional and spiritual support to people during vulnerable moments.

“It makes no sense to go through life without helping or welcoming others, whether it's a family member, a friend, a stranger, or someone who crosses our path through social work.”

Challenges and the Future: Looking Ahead with Confidence

Reflecting on his time at CATTS, Alex emphasizes teamwork and the courage to build something new.

“When I accepted the challenge of starting CATTS operations in South America, I knew it would be a great responsibility. Entering a competitive market required preparation and unity. At no point was I alone, the daily support of the entire team made all the difference. Today, we celebrate together each achievement of these two years.”

Looking ahead, his focus is clear:

“The future? To continue offering excellent solutions while maintaining the global quality standard that defines us. Thank you to everyone at CATTS for walking alongside me. You can always count on my daily dedication and motivation.”
